The Greenfinch and the Bluefinch
were at logger-heads together;
the Greenfinch was complaining
that the Blue Finch
just wouldn’t give an inch;
on his opinion on the weather.
The Blue Finch said, “Rain much later.”
The Goldfinch thought the Sun would shine all day,
without a single dark cloud calling;
which opine it had to say;
and so they agreed to disagree,
and disagree they did,
the Greenfinch and the Bluefinch,
like the Octopus and Squid,
the Butterfly and Moth,
the Bee and Wasp and Hornet,
but not the Cheetah and the Sloth.
