More leaves leave
⁃ poetry version
The leaves fell from the trees in droves;
it behoves me to say
that this proves nothing;
Autumn has shoved Summer into the past
and has taken hold;
will autumn last for a while?
Yes. Yet, eventually,
Autumn, too, will be relegated into the past, and then…
well then comes Winter,
and we shall see what that brings.
