Deconstructing a Poem

Take it apart

line by line

word by word

letter by—

or let it be.

Once there was nothing,

there shall be nothing once more;

when? I am not that sure;

but all the work that went into making,

seems less work

when put into breaking,

dismantling a thing,

until it becomes no thing.

The empty page,

writ upon,

will return, in the end, to a beginning,

when all the words have gone.
