The Ghost Ship

The Ghost Ship

The Seagulls cry,

‘There’s trouble at sea!’

and then they try,

‘There’s trouble at mill!’

and, still there is no response

from the empty boat;

that leaks not a bit,

so that it

is still afloat

after all these years;

its sailed upon every ocean

and many a turgid sea;

with no pause at a harbour

a lone ghost-ship is she.
