Upon Apples

Upon Apples

The apple does not fall far

from the applecart;

even though the applecart

may have travelled far from the tree,

and might distance itself from the apple

in time.

Whether an apple falls

or is picked

Is a matter of fate.

When the time is ripe

or when it is late

the apple departs to seek

vistas new.
