A few words upon the roof
I stand upon the roof and look around;
and there is found another roof
upon which you stand;
and you, too, are looking round.
I call ‘Haloo!”
and you reply:
“You, there, upon the roof – why?”
I think upon this, upon the roof,
and pose my own question:
To which you just shrug your shoulders,
and raise your binoculars to your eyes.
‘Ah!’ I realise. ‘Just checking that the Cheesewring is still there’.
As am I.
