What I Can See (In Front Of Me)

What I Can See (In Front Of Me)

I can see everything

and nothing;

what I want to see

and what I must;

and I know

that life

can be a bust.

I can see clearly now,

or Deidre,

now that Lorraine has gone;

or the rain…

think upon that

and be seriously confused;

I know that I am

and can be seen to be so.

“I see!”

said the blind man,

who clearly didn’t,

or did,

depending upon how you look at it.
