When Haikus Cry!

When a haiku

Doesn’t want to be a haiku,

It just adds or loses syllables,

Adds lines,

Or sticks with one or two;

And thinks:

‘To hell with form,

I am haiku!

I will not be chained by rules!’

But says:

“I’m not a haiku,

I am a free form poem;

That lives hard and fast!”
