Why is a Raven Like a Writing Desk?

“Why is a raven like a writing desk?
A Raven…?
Likes A Writing Desk?
Was the raven arabesque?
Was the writing desk quite craven?
Did the raven…?
No, I know not why
A Raven
Can be likened to
A Writing Desk.
Perhaps, it is a fault of my upbringing

That I find it impossible to say

Why one

A Raven

Should be like the other

A Writing Desk

Or the other

A Writing Desk

Should be like

A Raven.

Why don’t I have this knowledge inside of me?

Why do I lack the answer?

Or the answers?

Why? I ask you:

Is a banana like a Tuesday;

But, not a Wednesday?
See!

How do you like a spoonful of your own Medici!”

  1. so confused? ha 🙂 In Greek mythology, ravens are associated with Apollo, the god of prophecy. They are said to be a symbol of bad luck, and were the god’s messengers in the mortal world. According to the mythological narration, Apollo sent a white raven, or crow in some versions to spy on his lover, Coronis. Perhaps as writers, we erase the bad luck found at our writing desk as brought upon by the raven….? Or we just suck worse….unsure, hense confused…. 🙂
