A Few Thoughts From a Wet Monday in Old Hampshire.

The clock ticks

And a distant train

Travels onwards to its destiny;

The breeze rustles the leaves in a few dispirited trees

And birds fly by

In groups of threes

(Which is surely an omen).
Somewhere in Scotland,

There is a man

Roaming

And he and I will ne’er meet.
