The Trolley in the Park

The Trolley in the Park
The trolley in the park

Feels abandoned

Alone

And fears its fate

When, after dark,

The ghosts appear

To bully it, push it about,

And leave it upturned

And in turmoil.

Has it done anything

At all to deserve this;

Has it not earned

The right to be treated well;

Or, has it just become another basket-substitute case

With a sad story to tell?
