Blue Sky Thinking

Blue skies

Nothing but blue skies
And clouds;

Mustn’t forget the clouds;

And a drone

Buzzing around like an irritated mozzie;

Birds, too

Silent – generally –

And graceful,

Seeking… something.

Distant traffic is there –

It’s always there

It’s just the volume and the volume that changes.

Vapour streams from the aircraft that criss-cross-cross-criss above us;

Though their realities may have passed

Their trails remind us still of that passing.
One day soon

We may leave these skies behind us
And see different skies;

Or, new skies differently;

Things will always change.
Blue skies.

But… blue skies?”
Who can say:
From now on.
