Recently, to write a proper sonnet;
Do not dwell upon it,
Do not give in to despair
For, there is something in the air
Something that flies towards you
And will hit you
Smack! Bang! Between the eyes.
Just for you.
And, bear this in mind, also;
If you are not meant to write a sonnet
You probably won’t;
Be happy with what you do write
And, maybe, one day,
You will write a sonnet by accident
PS just check the structure and the rhyme scheme of this poem – it is so not a sonnet. Who’d have thought?
