(Poem 7) 25 Poems in 24 Hours

Poem 7 – 06:00 16-05-2017

And,

As Dawn’s Chorus

Is in full flight

I hear the world

(As I know it)

Wake.
And,

With a shake,

Spring into action.
The bustle of the day

Is underway

And people say:

‘Good morning!’

Or

‘Good day to you!’

Or not.
As it is still raining,

Most people are just in a hurry

Heading to their destinations

With a sense of worry;

Wrapped up in their own set of problems…

And their coats.
This is Spring

With a Capital ‘S’

Soon it will be Summer

With a Capital ‘S’

And yet it still rains

With a Capital ‘R’

And I wonder Why

“What a Capital ‘Why’

That was!”

I hear

In my head

And,

I say ‘Hello!’

To myself

Instead.
