(Poem 10 – King Lear) 25 Poems in 24 Hours

Poem 10 – 09:00 16-05-2017

Double figures

Single thought

Keep the words flowing

Or all will come to nought.
And ‘Nothing will come of nothing!’

As King Lear continues to say

And ‘he’ gave his land to his daughters away

With the fairies

He was

Old and broken

Blasted upon the heath

With words on his lips

And madness beneath

That rose and overtook his sanity.

Was giving away all

Just a vanity?
