Upon choosing the ‘set’ menu.

Whilst visiting the local theatre recently, I decided to try the fare in their ‘Table d’hôte’ restaurant. I chose the ‘Set’ menu. And, so…

Four flats highly decorated with scenes from ancient Padua
An occasional table that doubles up as an ironing board
Three foldaway chairs (unfolded)
One lamp (standard)
A door stop in the shape of an elephant (Indian or African – it makes no difference)
Three potted palms (Italianate style – if that’s doable)
A sideboard (upon which there shall be an old-fashioned telephone and a bell which can be rung to call the butler)
A chaise longue
With coffee and cheese to finish.
