Sitting upon a hillock of grass close by to a stream of consciousness.

Haiku the Labradoodle #walkus

On a grassy knoll
I reside for a while
To write my poetic words.

And I shall refuse to rhyme
For, that is my prerogative
And I can do that if I like.
So I will. Or shall I?

“Yes!” I reply to an unasked question.
Then I fail to speak again,
Whilst the world spins slowly round
Like a planet revolving
Or a moon or satellite
But, not like those.

And then I write in one long line of words that say not a lot but mean less…
Then I stop that.

Still on that mossy hillock
I sit like a poet
(See what I did there)
And write these words
Until I stop.

  1. Cute face….stream of consciousness is a grand thing…I think dogs have mastered it…except where a squirrel gets involved, then all bets off 🙂
