When I head up the old apples and pears to number seven or (fall down a well).

When I’m ‘brown-bread’ (Dead) and ‘toasted scone’ (Gone)
Will you ‘the fourth of December’ (Remember) the one
Who used to be
Me?
Will you still ‘beg and plead (Read)
The words
That I used to ‘fly a kite’ (Write)
Or ‘brown-bread and butter?’ (Utter)?
Will you ‘hug and kiss’ (Miss) me?
Or will my memory quickly ‘bucket and spade’ (Fade)?
Will my time on ‘laughter and mirth’ (Earth)
Be ‘somewhere just outside of Perth’ (Worth)
‘A big, red London bus’ (a Tinker’s Cuss?)
Or shall I have just ‘bought and tasted’ (Wasted)
My ‘Optimus Prime’ (Time?)

  1. Such a clever write, I love this!

  2. Wow, it must be an interesting wander–inside your head. This was an intriguing read.
